Our team here at J&D Carpentry expertly fit fire doors for a range of customers, mainly commercial and industrial. Every fire door we fit is measured to suit the particular location in which it sits. That’s because a precise minimal gap between the frame and door is absolutely essential to the fire door’s property functioning.
We are accredited to fit fire doors by BM Trada Q-mark. This is for a range of different fire doors installations, such as timber fire doors, composite fire doors and steel fire doors.

Servicing
As a company, we like to record the fire door’s installation for the benefit of our customers. They receive this in the form of a convenient electronic document. This shows when the door was fitted and by whom, along with the expected duration of the door. This makes it easier for the customer to know when the door needs to be serviced and, more importantly, to ensure that it happens. At J & D Carpentry, we are happy to service, repair and maintain all fire doors – regardless of whether we have fitted them or not.
Another plus of having an electronic record of the fire door’s installation and servicing is that this can be used for building insurance purposes.
