A fire shutter door is especially suitable in a high-risk area, such as a kitchen. This is where a fire is generally more likely to start, so it’s important to have a high-quality barrier here. Fire shutters are so effective that a shutter with a high fire resistance level can actually provide up to four hours of fire protection.
That’s no mean feat when you consider fire can reach melting temperatures very quickly. The effectiveness of a fire shutter is actually rated on a scale of 60, 120, or 240-minutes.
