fire door installation
At J&D Carpentry, we have extensive experience in fire door installation – whether in commercial, public sector or domestic settings. This gives our clients peace of mind that their fire doors are in working order and safety compliant.
About Fire Doors
When it comes to fire door installation, there are various types of doors to choose from. The most basic are timber doors produced from either hardwood or softer woods. Composite doors are a good alternative. Both of these doors tend to be used in residential settings or offices. Being solid, steel doors are tougher and fitted when extra security is also necessary. As a result, they tend to be installed in factories and warehouses.
All our fire doors here at J&D Carpentry in Norwich are industry approved. Our fire doors can be produced in line with your requirements, i.e. they can be painted to match their surroundings. They can also be veneered or laminated.
Once a fire door is fitted, you will receive a certificate which can be used for insurance purposes. All the fire door fitters who work with us are approved by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme. This means they are fully trained and certified to fit fire doors in a professional and industry-compliant manner.
Fire Door Repairs
The repair of a fire door must also be conducted by a professional. He or she will use certified components (where appropriate CE approved). It may also be the case that the door frame needs to be changed if the fire door no longer fits properly.
Fire door installation: get in touch
It’s important to have your fire door serviced and maintained regularly (every six months is typical). Failure to do so could lead to the door not working in the event of a fire. The consequences could prove fatal and disastrous for a company as the premises wouldn’t be insured. Find out more about our fire door installation and maintenance service by calling today on
